I need to install SES over a S8300 combo (5.2.1).
Entering the rfa site I am requested to specify the server mac address, the question are:

1) is it the S8300 macaddr (because it's a combo) or the one running WebLM ?
2) What happens if I have to replace the server for fault, has the SES license to be re-generated ?

log in to linux of server and do a ifconfig

use the MAC of eth0

if it dies you will relicesne to the new MAC

just did this myself for the first time last week.

the answer is "WebLM". Launch it, and check "server properties", it will show you the availble MAC address's that can be used. FYI, the one that is repeated three times is usually the one I use.

If you change the S8300 blade, you need to call or email the RFA group to have them change the MAC address on the SES SID.

Once the SES licensing is moved over to PLDS from RFA, we will be able to update the MAC address's ourselves.. until then, AVAYA needs to be involved with it, with RFA.
