HI EVERYBODY... JUST ANOTHER QUESTION. I NEED HELP.
WINDOWS 2000 SERVER, CR 8.5, SQL SERVER 7.0 AND VB 6.0.

I´VE CREATED A REPORT WITH 3 LINKED TABLES FROM THE SAME DATABASE, WHEN I OPEN THE REPORT IN THE SERVER, IT RUNS PERFECTLY, HOWEVER WHEN I OPEN THE REPORT IN ANOTHER COMPUTER NETWORK I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE:

MICROSOFT OLEDB PROVIDER FOR ODBC DRIVERS:
[MICROSOFT][ODBC SQL SERVER DRIVER][TCP/IP SOCKETS]GENERAL NETWORK ERROR. CHECK YOUR NETWORK DOCUMENTATION.

AND THEN A ANOTHER ERROR MESSAGE AS FOLLOWING:

SERVER HAS NOT YET BEEN OPENED.

PLEASE, HELP ME ON THIS.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.
ADRIAN

You're not connecting successfully to the database. What VB code are you using to connect?

Hi balves,
Yesterday u were helping me with same problem and u asked me what type of DSN we are using. We use non DSN NT Authentication. Can u please help?
Thanx

Unfortunately, I don't know. My current customer is not using NT Authentication so I cannot test things here. If you have the recordset, I'm not sure what the problem is.

I'M NOT USING ANY VB CODE. I'M ACCESSING DATABASE FROM CRYSTAL REPORT.
WHEN I USE DSN CONNECTION THE ERROR MESSAGE IS NO PHYSICAL DATABASE OR TABLE FOUND.
WHEN I USE NON DSN CONNECTION (I MEAN ADO.TABLENAME TYPE) THE ERROR MESSAGE IS THAT MESSAGE I'VE DESCRIBED BEFORE.

BUDDY... THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

WAITING FOR SOLUTIONS, REGARDS.
ADRIAN

try using the DSN connection but in the Report Options of the report...first remove the check from "Uses Indexes or Server for Speed"

that solved my problem when I got the "No Physical Database or Table Found" error

hope it works for you
