Server Edition V8.1.69 ? dot dial shortcode

I have a server edition system recently installed and im having a problem with trying to change or withhold the outgoing cli using the default ? shortcode.
The ? shortcode whether it be a system or user shortcode always default back to the users ddi matching from the ICR. If I remove the ddi from the ICR then the cli comes through as blocked.
If I use a 0N shortcode then I can change the outgoing cli using the 's'01234567890 or withhold using the 'w'
Yes I know there is a new version V8.1.73 out but this was installed before it was released & have checked the release notes and cant see anything to say this is a bug or just a feature to cause a lot more programming!

Any ideas or has anybody else had the same problem?

Isdn 30 on an Ip500v2 expansion.

I am running a similar system (only BRI on it) and if i use a user shortcode (0N,dial,NS123xxxxxx) then this works fine.
But i am on Release 9.0 at the moment.
So i would try an upgrade to the latest 8.1 version.

tlpeter, the user shortcode (0N,dial,NS123xxxxxx) works fine for me too, as I said in the origional post its the ? shortcode that I am not getting to work.
The problem with the user shortcode 0N is the user has to dial the full pstn number and cant just dial the 6 or 7 digit local number.

Try to change shortcodes.

078 is our areacode.

If that is not what you want then you need to add shortcodes for 6 or 7 digits in your ARS.

should work in either system or user shortcodes
this short code is only used if there is no closer natch so if you also have 0N (why?) it would take precedence.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
