My secondary server ( HPDL360 ) locked up yesterday. Had to do a hard power cycle to get it to come back up. The problem is none of the extensions programmed on that server failed over to the Primary. The phones said Discover 10.X.X.X as if they were looking for the primary but the never connected. Any thoughts? Resilience is set to back up phone on the primary. IP Line is set to SCN Fallback and Backs up my IP Phones is also checked. Have I missed something.

Can the phones actually see the other server? Is their default gateway the correct one to allow this?

Yes. Phone, Primary and Secondary are all on the same subnet

Phones have to wait 3 minutes before the backup IPO accept registration. Did your server fails more than 3 minutes ?

Failed Friday night. Came into the office Monday Morning and the phones where still discovering.

I assume that the two servers have one interface in a data network and a second interface in voice network. I assume that you connected the servers through their data network interfaces. So the phones get the information that the primary server's data network interface should be used as alternative call server.

Lan1 is the only interface used on both servers. Its not like a Nortel when you use a ELAN and TLAN.
