In an attempt to try a backup of a test database, Great Plains told me I needed to be at the server machine to do so. So I went over to the server, and started up Great Plains to log in and perform this. I got error upon error before even typing in my username and password - and then I got a blank Database choice list. Now on the clients that have logged out - if you try to log back in you get the following error message.

You are using an earlier version of Dynamics.dic than the one that's currently installed on the network.

Anyone have any ideas? I need to get this running by tomorrow.

Oh, and all the clients use 7.5 while the one I ran on the server was 8.0

Ok, problem was solved - will post solution tomorrow so others can know as well.

Ok the problem we had was in our DU000020 table in the DYNAMICS database. One record was recorded at version 8. Once changed back logging in worked. Also recommended to check are the version numbers in the DB_UPGRADE table and the DU000099 table.
