Serious IIS problems

I admit to being NT ignorant.<br>
I need to allow access to a extranet site resting on a NT4 server w/SP5<br>
I have a test user who should work, but doesn't.<br>
Netbios Off<br>
Its Local group restricts it to the (

http://wwwroot)

directory<br>
Its global group has the permissions of a newly created group (click New, then make new group)<br>
Its login is restricted to the local machine and is allowed to dialup,<br>
What have i missed?<br>
