Serious Error Occurs when connecting to provider

I am in the process of importing data from a VIAODBC(Win Link) into a SQL database. When I select the User/System DSN, I am getting a "Serious Error Occurs when connecting to provider" Has anyone ever had this issue and what do I need to do! I am in urgent need of help.
