Serial Number

Hi All,


Can some one please let me know where exactly the serial Number be located in the Registry Keys.
Else from where in the hard disk or thru a command i can find the Serial Number
Please am in a great urgent...

I read some where that we can get the serial Number information from the C:\RMEQUIP.LOG file...
But I could not see this file in any of the machines.

If it's the Windows Serial number you need, it should be on the 'General' tab of System Properties. If it's the PC serial number, you might find it on a label on the case somewhere.

Hi thanks for the help...


We have many machines reporting to our server with out a serial Number...Just want to get the serila number for those machines and we are not supposed to use any 3rd party tools and the machines are located round the globe...

So can we get in some way, like with a script or look some where in the disk memory . I have a script which pings the serial number and get the serial number..but this one is not working if i run the script for more then one machine...
