I have completely stopped using Windows and am using Notes under Wine, which by the way is many times faster than running Notes under Windows. But it has dawned on me that if I need to connect to the SC I need a way to do that. So I was wondering if anyone has connected to the SC using FreeBSD and what you used (e.g., tip, cu, or some other app)?

Did you post this in the Solaris forum by mistake?

No. It's a Solaris question.

Forgive me.... I see Windows, Wine and FreeBSD in the question, I presume SC is "serial console"? Where is the Solaris bit? [3eyes]

Annihilannic.

SC = system controller for V480s, E2900s, V210s.
