Serial connection reset, protocol down?

We just lost our frame-relay connection with one of our remote offices, when I do a show int, my ser1/0 shows as follows:

Serial1/0:0 is reset, line protocol is down

this serial interface has two sub-interfaces (one is down, presumabley because the main interface is down, and the other is currently turned off)

what does the "reset" mean, and is there anything I can do to get it back up? I've tried a "no shut", and we've also rebooted the router.

thanks!

You have checked your end. What about the far end?

Reamin positive. The affect on those around you will amaze.

can you post the output from
show int ser 1/0:0
and
show controllers ser 1/0

thanks

If everything is coming your way then you're in the wrong lane.

thanks for the tips, it turned out that our ISP had a short in their wiring. I actually checked the other end of the connection first, then when that one came back OK, had our end checked.

thanks again!!
