separate messages for busy or away from desk 1

I have a user that would like to have a separate message for when she is away from her desk and when she is on the phone. Can anyone tell me how this is done?

I have an Intuity Audix and Definity G3Si.

If they are going to end up in the same mailbox, I don't see how, because the voicemail has no way of distinguishing the way the call came in. If you have an announcement card, you can do it by using 2 coverage paths, 2 VDN's, 2 vectors & giving the callers differing messages before booting them into a mailbox with a short message. A lot of trouble to go to for one person. Maybe someone else has a brilliant idea.

Your subscriber needs to administer Call Types. From the Audix main menu, select Personal Greetings (3), then select Call Types (4). The different Call Types available are: Internal/External, Busy/No Answer and Out-of-Hours.

There's also the quick and dirty way. Honestly, this is one of the reasons I've rarely used a custom greeting in Audix.

Just set your vm-box to use the "system greeting".

If you're away, or have SAC activated, the caller hears:

<recorded-name> is not available....

If you're on a call, the caller hears:

<recorded-name> is busy...

Unfortunately, if you're busy on a bridged appearance of your extension, the caller only hears that you're &quot;not available&quot;. (That's probably what an executive wants, but doesn't work so well with bridges to TransTalks, etc.)

To: All the Audix has a feature called multiple personal greetings. When recording a greeting after you approve it you then classify what call type is to hear it. Internal External Out of hours no answer or busy. First check to see if the feature is activated then play away. Works well.
