I am wondering the best way to upgrade sendmail on a freebsd mail server. If you have a how to site then please post it. I am trying to find the best possible way. I have looked into using portupgrade but am unsure. Thanks.

Hi,

sendmail is part of freebsd source tree. If you keep your source tree up to date with security patch, you should be OK with sendmail.
