We have a G3iR6 with ISDN-PRI trunks...they would like to send different number out on outgoing calls than the LEC is showing...where in this switch can I tell it which number to send?
On the Trunk Group form (Page 2) change the 'Send Calling Number' field to a 'y'. Then do 'change isdn public-numbering' Insert the extension length, the lead digit of the extension blocks, what trunk group the rule applies to, the digits to pre-pend the extension number with, and the total length of the sent digit string. If you don't want to send individual station ID you can put your Main Listed Number in the CPN Prefix column.
Fill in the form. The extension code is the first one or two digits of the extensions, and the CPN prefix is the area code and number that would be tacked onto the front.
You can get as specific or as general you want. If you enter a full extension and a full telephone number you can alias the station to be any phone number that you would like to send.
We use it to send a single toll free number from our agent stations. It's for the Do-Not-Call list call back requirements.
(I've also used it to get around ticket broker telephone line requirements. They won't take orders from city A on the phone line from city B. But when you can't get through on city A's line because the concert tix just went on sale....
I'll program a number for my extension that's local to city B, call the city B number and tell them that I'm out of town for the week.
I think on version 6 you won't have the ability to differentiate trunk groups. It will affect all trunk groups the same. They added the trunk group field with version 9, I believe...
