Is there a way of sending an email using ASP without having to use CDONTS

Cheers

J

there's multiple mail clients out there, if you're dead set against CDONTS you can use ASPMail i think it's distributed by serverobjects.com

It's not that I don't want to use CDONTS, I think its excellent, it's just I'm finding it difficult to locate a hosting company that supports it in the UK.

well you can do a form action of mailto: etc but that's poorly formatted etc.

if the hosting service supports frontpage extentions, you might be able to get around it by routing through those.

as for hosting, unless you have a need to physically go down the street and tough the server, perhchance extend your hosting options abroad?

i'll think about other methods more and post again if i come up with anything

Also, if the server is newer than 2000, they should have CDOSYS (as mentioned in another thread a few seconds ago) here is the link I gave for that:
01000111 01101111 01110100 00100000 01000011 01101111 01100110 01100110 01100101 01100101 00111111
The never-completed website:

Thanks Tarwn, I've downloaded that code and it works fine with my localhost website on my XP system.

Will I have to look for a hosting company who supports CDOSYS for this code to work.
