Sending appointment with link

A hyperlink back to what? Your calendar on a server? I don't believe that it is possible (someone correct me please if I am wrong).
I think what you may need to do instead is to open the calendar select the appointment and then click on the ACTIONS menu and select FORWARD.
It will then send the appointment as an attachment which the receiver could add to their calendar.
