Had a problem in a remote office where people were not able to call France, but they could call other international offices.

After running a “list trace sta xxxxx” I saw the system was sending the “011” when people were trying to call France, but not other countries. I found someone had changed the ars ana table. The 011 entry took one route and stripped the 011.

Someone had an added an entry with 01133 (France) that left the 011 in to be sent to the network. (Which I deleted.)

When”011” was stripped the calls completed.

My question. How does the network know when someone is calling internationally when we are not sending the “011” .

Reason I "think" we are not sending the "011, is that in the "list trace sta" results, it shows the number as dialed which has the "011". They it shows the "setup" number (same number as dialed without the 011) which I assume is what is outpulsed to the network.

Am I wrong?

I use PRI’s provided by verizon as the local carrier. ATT is the LD carrier.

The problem we found with this was that is was sending "011" twice..and that was what was causing the problem. Stripping the digits in ars worked, but it still knows based on "intl" in call type of ars analys..kind of a pain but only seems to be a problem with "isdn-pri"
