When I right click on a picture I get a menu of options. One of the options allows me to send the picture to various locations. How do I edit that menu of locations?

Edit the SendTo folder-

In the "Start Search" box type:

%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

and then click onthe folder it shows you. Create shortcuts to programs you want to send stuff to and/or delete shortcuts that are already there you don't want.

LeeMcCauslin: In XP you could just do Start Run type SendTO. Is that still an option in Vista?

GrimR,

I don't think so, because of the way Vista uses some old XP folder names (and locations) for compatibility with older programs. It is not possible on this Vista machine anyway.

The XP method you mention tries to open this file, C:\Users\Usernamexxxx\SendTo, but access is denied by default.

Thanks linney,
Must be those stupid 'shortcuts' that don't actually function as shortcuts

The Send To menu is located in a different location in Vista than XP:
[ol]
[li]Hit the Windows key on your keyboard[/li]
[li]Type in shell:sendto and hit Enter[/li]
[/ol]

The Send To menu folder is actually located in:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

So you could have typed that in or also:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

The shell:sendto command provides a nice quick shortcut.
