Are you able to send anything at all through Com1?
Look at MSComm() and reassure yourself that you can properly send text files via Com1. If not, refer to
TEACH YOURSELF VISUAL BASIC 6, by Scott Warner (see
Chapter 10, on text files). Verify that you can actually
output something.
