How can I configure my exchange server to send mail and receive from outside my network? (the server doesn't have internet connection but one of the servers does. I know it can be done cus' I've seen it, but how?

A little more information required. So the Exchange Server has no access to the internet????? What Protocol are you using to receive, SMTP, POP, etc

well i'm not using any yet. that's the point, i dont have a clue on how to do it. :(

ok. now it has internet.... but still no go on the mail

Germanc4,

Are you able to send to other internal users? RECEIVING outside e-mail from the rest of the internet requires MX records in DNS and forwarding SMTP traffic from the internet to your Exchange server -- which will vary, based on your network setup.

What can you tell us about your environment? number of Exchange servers, type of internet connection, router/gateway/firewall would all be helpful.

thanks, I'll read about that and post back later
