I built a computer from scratch. Epox MB, AMD Athlon 1Ghz processor with 512MB RAM. The computer is running with Windows XP proffesional. The computer keeps rebooting itself, 4 times a day or more. Can anyone offer me some insight as to why this might be happening?

Thanks in advance.

Aloha,

James

have you checked the event viewer to see if there are any hard errors or bug check dumps. this may give you info on how to isolate the problem.

you may want to try booting in safe mode and/or vga mode to rule out a few drivers and services. also look into memory as a culprit...are using on 512mb module or 2x256mb..if the later, remove one or the other and test.
