I had this question from one of our users and I don't know the answer. Can anyone help?
'Outgoing calls from our corporate office indicate "Benjamin Moore" on caller ID. This is becoming a hinderance in our collection calling in Accounts Receivable. When the person sees "Benjamin Moore" on their caller ID they don't answer the phone. When we are making collection calls is there a way we can put in a code to block the caller ID?'
All these calls route over an ISDN PRI line. I believe the Caller ID is provided directly by the PRI provider and the switch just sends the DID info to the carrier. Is this an issue I have to take up with the carrier or is there some Definity solution (as there usually is)?
Thanks.

Hi
Make command change trunk ZZ and check the field
Send name - on the second page. In your case it should be NO.

Hi Rodyk
I use isdn public nunbering to change the number being sent from a per staion basis and then a cpn-block and cpn-unblock on the set to let people select to send or not send calling information .let me know if you require more information.

Vimmer, your post seems to suggest what I'm looking for, on a per station basis. However, I don't know how to do what you suggest. Is this code to block the caller id through the feature access codes of the switch?

Do a "change isdn pub". The following example shows ext 1000 & 1001 that will outpulse 555-222-1000, and 555-222-1001 for the CPN. 1002 is an example of your collections guy that will outpulse 000-000-0000. The name displayed is matched by to the number by the CO. For this reason, you can really only send garbage or have the LEC block your name. I don't know if sending "Anonymus" via the LEC or sending "000-000-0000" is really going to get your calls answered with any more regularity. You may need to work with you LEC to determine the possibilities of matching a different name to specific CPN your PBX is sending out.

Ext Ext Trk CPN Total CPN
Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len

4 1000 555222 10
4 1001 555222 10
4 1002 000000000 10
-CL

Good Morning!

You may be able to use the "per call CPN blocking code". The code is assigned in the "change feature-access-codes" screens.

When used, it marks the call as "presentation restricted" to the carrier. The called party gets a "restricted" display message on their caller ID box.

Thanks, WHCARon
