We are running Citrix Metaframe XP FR3 on a windows 2000 server. We have IP based printers at almost all of our remote locations. I would like to turn off the autocreated printers for all but 2 remote locations.

I know in Citrix you can globally turn on or off autocreated printers. With Terminal Server, you have the option of turning off LPT port mapping at the client. Is there also a way to disallow printer or port mapping at the client level using the ICA client? Can the autocreated printers be setup on the server side for specific logins only?

Hi , you should go into your cmc then policie and create a new policy give it a name like autocreate disable then add the users you want the printer not tp be created

Thanks forthe help. My next problem is that I am unable to create policys in the CMC. The help states that I should be able to select 'Policies' in the left pane ofthe CMC. There is 'Policies' listed. Can someone help me get a clue and tell me what I am missing. Thanks.

Sorry, there is no 'Policies' listed in the left pane of the CMC.

You may have an old version of the CMC. Get the latest and install. Should be in FR3 media if you have it.
