selecting partition based on "All Free Hog"

In the partition prompt, I want to modify the partition:
partition>modify
Then the following options appeared:
Select partitioning base:
0. Current partition table (aftermd)
1. All Free Hog

What does "All Free Hog" mean and under what circumstance should i choose the "All Free Hog" Option ?
