I am trying to decifer an sql statement and can't figure out what this line is doing.

Select distinct 4 as SSlevel

A temporary table was created before this with 3 columns. Is the "4" in the line looking for 4 records?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Carlos

What that would do is return the value 4 as the field SSlevel. Unless there is more to the statment than you have shown, the distinct is not doing anything.
