The choice between AUTOMATIC and MANUAL does not relate to the operating system but on the application. If most of the READs are followed by REWRITEs or DELETEs, AUTOMATIC is probably the best option; otherwise it is likely that MANUAL is.

I believe that ROLLBACK works only with FILESHARE. In the past, FILESHARE only worked with Novel Netware, but there might be a Windows version now.
