Seiko Label Printers

Couldn't tell you what the model number is as it's in the other office, but I occasionally use a Seiko label printer. Post your query, and we'll see if we can help...

Hi,
Thanks for your offer.
My main problem at the moment is that whenever users send a label to the printer from another workstation (the printer is shared), a message comes up on the "server" screen suggesting the label size is amended to another size.
However, the size on the "server" software is correct, and it matches the size on the "client" software.
Although the label prints when you clear the message, it holds up not only that label but any others that "stack up" behind it.
Any ideas why this may be occuring?

Regret mine's an SPL1000P, so quite a different animal to the ones you have there...
Assuming your label printer is set up like a conventional printer (mine doesn't work that way), try the following. On computer to which the label printer is attached, goto Start, Settings, Printers, and right click on the appropriate printer icon. Check out the Document Defaults to see if the correct size of label is being set. Also check the Properties box under the same icon on the networked machines.
Don't have any other ideas at the moment.

Hi Roger,
That's certainly an area I wouldn't have thought of looking.
I'll do that tomorrow on the "server" PC and one of the "client" PCs which is experiencing this problem, and see if anything comes to light.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Thank you so much for your assistance.
I looked in printer properties and indeed found that the label size was incorrect.
Changing this on the "server" PC and checking all the clients for an incorrect size has resulted in a complete resolution of this problem.
