Hello,

I am having trouble accessing a shared network drive on two PC's. I am new to the company and had minimal novell experiece 3 years ago. Here is the scenario.

I setup two new users in novell using the same security permissions as everyone else. When these users try to print a graphical form out of our back office software, it say sthe file cannot be found. I checked the odbc driver and the path which it is trying to connect to and it is correct. Although when I try to select ok in the ODBC driver setup, it says the network place cannot be found.

Is there somewhere else where I can check the security to see why these users cannot connect?

Thanks,

Are they members of the same groups? So they can view the file but not print it? If so, what is the exact error message? I'm assuming the file is stored on a Novell volume as well, and what program is it?

Matt J.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

The program is Best/Sage Softwares MAS 200. The file it is trying to reach is a graphical form so invoices and sales orders may be printed.

The users experiencing the issues are members of the same group(s) of the users that are not.

The error message reads: unable to access the./ServerName/DDICTS directory. Please make sure you have access to this directory before graphical forms can be used.

Do the group memberships match exactly? Try that.
