I am having a problem with security of the course list. I gave the user contribute permissions for the site. And I gave read only permission to the course list under manage permission for the course list. And while having read permission - if the user register/un register from the course - the Available seats do not change AT ALL. And I tried giving the contribute permission to the list to that user and available seats does work. How can I give user read permissions so that they cant edit/delete the item and available seat work? Please help
