I have an access 97 database that has security like the pentagon. I am trying to either somehow strip the security and create a new database or maybe import the tables into an access 2000 database. This is thru my job but we have network level security that is making this difficult to do. It's not allowing me to do it. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Too much confusion. What is preventing you from copying the file? If it is 'workgroup security' as you say, then you shouldn't be able to use the database at all.

If it's not workgroup security, then it's something else, but you've given no details, so it could be anything.

So either 1. try and copy the file, or 2. talk to your network administrator/IT department/whoever handles the permissions. Usually you have to have your supervisor's written permission to get new folder access.
