Security Catalog (*.CAT) files in arcserve folder

HI,
CAT file are generated during an ARCserve backup. Once the backup is done, these files would be merged into the arcserve database and purged. If they are still there in the temp folder, it is a symptom of database corruption.
Please stop all arcserve services.. clear the temp folder within the arcserve folder. Delete all r*.* files in the arcserve database folder.
restart all arcserve services.
