Hi All,

Just a quick question. I have a split database on the network. The front end is a MDE file which the users access through a shortcut on their desktops. The backend (MDB) is also in the same folder on the network which users could access. If I lock the backend in a secure file at a different location on the network would this cause problems with the frontend? Is this the best way to do it?

any advice would be greatful ;-)

Hi

Depending on how sophisticated your users are, other ideas you could try include:

Make the backend a 'hidden' file

Put the Backend on a hidden share Regards
