Hi, I have inserted a standard search button on my main form and this works fine, but it does not look up any data within the subform that is on the main form. How can I make it search there as well?

Thanks

Hi,

Is your subform related to the main form? if so you will not be able to search for different records on the sub form, cos it will only display the data relating to the main form.

The subform is related to the main form in a one to many relationship.

So how can I allow it to search, or is there totally no way to do it?

If you want to use a txt box linked to the search button to display records in the subform depending on what you have typed then have a look at this thread.

I'm stuck trying to display the records but the search function works albeit loading another form at the moment!
