search text field 1

Hi all
I have a text field that contains the text '70%'. I am trying to search this field using a case when statement but I have to use the % wildcard because it can appear anywhere in the field and I am not sure how to distinguish between the % with the 70 and the wild card %. If anyone knows the syntax for this I would appreciate it.
