We get like 500-1000 rootmails on our server everyday, most of the mails would be from one particular customer, that may have had some problem, and could be deleted without any possible consequence without being read. currently we use ELM 2.5. I just wanna be able to go in there and search for mail from xxx.xxxx.com and delete them and then read rootmail.

Any clue how to search rootmail or use some other email client.

thanks !

Here are a couple of ideas to get you started:

1) write a script to automate the human process of reading the mail and discard those not wanted, depending on who they are from or by subject, etc. (This would be the equivalent of the Rules Wizard in Microsoft Outlook).

2) pre-process the e-mail file with a script, using awk and/or sed etc to "cut out" the e-mail messages to be discarded.

I hope that helps.

Mike
