Search in PDF files

Hi ,

I want to search for the specific content/keyword in PDF file.
How can i acheive this ? I need to filter out the headers generated by PDF files.?

Any help or info in that direction is most welcome.

where is this PDF file located? on the server?

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull

What you might do is use something like xpdf ( to convert the PDFs in question to text files and then search the text version.


There's also something like swish-e, which is a content indexer. It comes with a filter for PDFs. It's a perl script, though.
