I'm using the BuildWhere code by FancyPrairie. Everything is working except that when I try to find either parts of a field or multiple values in a field, I get a blank screen. The only way out of it is to turn off the filter.

Does anybody know of a way that I can adapt the code to search for text that contains whatever is typed in? For example, I have a lot of vendors who are located in areas that have similar zip codes. I want to find all vendors who are located in the 19*** zipcode or find vendors in 190**,191**,192** zip codes. Any ideas?

You can use wild cards to search (*), but where you want multiple instances (seperated by comma), you will have to build an OR clause for each instance (see Instr function to extract each searhc criteri)

Ormsk: Thanks for the reply. I'll look into the Instr and let you know how that comes out. As for the wildcard ( * ), when I try to do that, the form still comes back blank. I'm thinking that the BuildWhere function doesn't look for wildcards in the field, but I'm not sure. I suppose there might be a way to look at every character in the field and turn the commas into OR. I'll look into that as well. Thanks!
