Up until recently my scanner has performed great. It is an older HP Scanjet IIcx. It also functions as a copier. Now when I click on the icon, I get 'scanner not found.' When I turn the scanner on it shows the scanner is working. I have a program 'EZ SCSI EXPLORER' which shows all the other SCSI hardware and their interupts...but no scanner. Is it possible the cable between the scanner and the Adaptec adapter is malfunctioning. I have uninstalled and installed the hardware several times after downloading the latest driver. Is there a way to test the cable, other than purchasing a new cable ($35)??
