scrubber bar question

I'm using a customizable scrubber bar (it's a little movie clip player that controls a loadMovie'd SWF) that allows for stop, play, pause, rwd, ffd.

My problem is that I'm trying to replace the play button with the PAUSE button and vice-versa, while the movie is playing. > when the movie is paused or stopped, || when the movie is playing.

Is there any actionscript I can add to switch out the buttons?

You mean like a single toggle button for play & pause?
