Hi All,

I have created a Word doc with textbox and combobox controls on it. When a user tries to scroll down it will appear very fuzzy and jerky and will not scroll smoothly. This obviously doesn't effect the functionality of the code behind the form but it makes the doc a little less appealing. Does anybody know of a way to fix this?

TIA,

Aw, why not, I will try answering this.

First the tongue-in-cheek answer:
Get a faster, bigger Video card.

Now, little things that help Word scroll a little faster.

Normal view will scroll faster.

You could turn off picture placeholders. So the pictures will not show while you are scrolling. This is a pain, as you might want to turn it back on. Done under Tools, Options, View and check the Picture Placeholders checkbox.

Hide non-printing characters

Turn off table gridlines. Again, a pain, since you might want to turn them back on.

Don't use down-arrow to scroll, use page up or down

Try resetting your screen refresh rate (drawback: screen may flicker if there are florescent lights around)

That's all I know.
