Does anyone have a script or a link to one that will remotely disable/enable system restore, for the entire domain or selectable/list hosts?

TIA,

FredUG

Use Group Policy.

Start, run, gpedit.msc and click Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System, System Restore. Double-click Turn off System Restore and, on the Setting tab, select Enable. . . .

I forgot about GP, I was stuck in scripting mode.

Thanks,

FredUG

Doh...I forgot to mention that it's Win2k AD with XP workstations. There's no System Restore under system for GP on the win2k DCs. I guess I'm back to scripting.

Use the XP GPs. They are ingored by non-XP clients.
You import the Administrative template files (.adm) from XP into your Win2k AD.

Just be sure to use XP clients to administer them.
