Hey all,

Does anyone know how to deploy a standard screensaver(marquee or 3D Text) and wallpaper to all computers in a network. I have setup one machine with the ones I want.

I thought about just copying the .scr file via login script but would this copy over settings such as enabling the screensaver, setting time delay, etc?

System:

Windows NT4 Server
Windows 98SE/XP Pro Clients

Many thanks in advanced,

Sunil

Thanks for the reply...

No group policy- using Windows NT4 server..

I know how to deploy via registry but the only thing is I am using the 'marquee' screensaver from XP standard list with the text modified. But, when I deploy it via the registry, the screensaver is activated but all the formatting is back to default - i.e 'please enter your text...' with standard font style and size as opposed to the one i set.

Any help much appreciated

Sunil

Try to set the text in:
HKCU->Control Panel->Screen Saver.Marquee->Text

That should do it for you.

That's the one vanvb- good stuff!!!

Many thanks,

Sunil
