Screen jitters when power supply replaced

I'm doing volunteer work for a non-profit organization working on their computer lab. The power supplies are dying due to lack of cleaning. One machine the fan on the power supply died but it didn't shut the machine down. When I put a power supply from another machine in, the computer boots up, but the screen jitters/shakes. Any ideas as to why and if it is fixable?

Thanks,

Sounds more likely that either the monitor is faulty or you're suffering from an undervoltage condition. Does this happen if you attach a different monitor to that computer?

I would check the voltage at the outlet to make sure it's correct.

What is the power output on the power supply you put in? It may be too small for the system.

The second power supply is from an identical system that works perfectly. The monitor also works ok. It's only the one system that has the problem. I suspect that the motherboard has been damaged from heat, just wanted a second opinion before I have them spend any money on brand new power supplies.
