Screen flashing during unload

I know this will probably a very simple answer, but I'm stumped for some reason and couldn't find it in the forum archives. When I exit my application, I unload approximately 35 forms and data reports. The screen flashes rapidly while the application exits. I think it's the unloading causing this; but does anyone know if that's the case and how to stop the flashing that occurs? Thanks in advance!

It's an MDI application. I'm also unloading some child forms.
