i use screen.cursor:=mypointer; to change the default cursor for my application. the cursor is loaded from a resource file. when the cursor is hovering on top of my form, it is displayed correctly. when i access the menu bar (file,edit...) the cursor change back to the system pointer. anyway to prevent that?

I'm not sure there is - there are a few things that Microsoft likes to hard-wire and the menus and system bars are one of them it seems. I tried all the things I could think of and couldn't get them to work. The cursor change only seems effective on the actual form area (though you can change it for buttons and other regular visual elements).
