When loading xp the monitor stays blank,have tried different monitor same thing,xp is loading as signature tune plays any ideas

Maybe you have a dodgy video card, do you have a spare you can try, or try yours in another computer.

Think lightbulbs.

Added video adapters tend to just do this. (Onboard video seems to just work).

If you have added a video card, I agree with forum member shatch above: remove it, connect to your onboard video adapter, and set the BIOS appropriately.
