Screaching 6408D+???

Has anyone ever come across a screaching 6408D+ set? In the past two weeks, I have had 2 6408D+ sets screach from the headset but not from the speaker phone. Swaping the phones seemed to work but I actually fixed the problem by unpulgging them and plugging them back in. The screaching was similar to a fax/modem tone, but much louder!

I encountered screeching on Callmaster phones with headsets. It turned out to be feedback. Try turning down the volume. The feedback occurred when two agents were talking to each other and both their volumes were turned up high.

I've had a similar problem as well with a Plantronics headset and 6408D+ phone, it was resolved by replacing the batteries.

I have had this problem on several occasions. If you have the maintenance tools in DSA you can busy and release the station and it show fix the problem.
