SCN 1

I have 2 IP 406 v2's that are set up with SCN and working.
I have a 3rd IPO 406 that is now in the mix. It is across a WAN to the other locations.
I have the routes built and I get a busy when dialing.
Main ipo is 10.5.232.110
2nd ipo is 10.5.231.110
these are working now.
the 3rd is 10.5.233.110 I have even set this site to a 10.5.232.86, same as the 232.110 and still no dice.
I can ping the 10.5.232.110 and 10.5.232.110 but cant get the SCN to work.
I think it is a routing issue with the IT guys but any thoughts would be great.
What ports need to be open from the IT data guys for this to pass?

you are almost certainly correct that it is data issue.
ideally you should not have any ports blocked on the network

important ports are:-

1719,1720 H232 call setup
507905 SCN Data
49154 - 53247 Voice data

I have never experienced an SCN issue that was not data network related.




A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I can't agree more... I really think that is it.
I a going to bring in an IT guy that I normally work with to see if he can find the issue.

if you have an android device and access to the wireless then there is a great app out there called port scanner.
with that you can scan the important ports and see if they are blocked.
works probably with some Windows program as well but I don't know it.
