I have two offices running IPO 500 V2, Main office has 40 users and the new remote office has 10 users. What licenses do I need at each office for SCN to work properly?

Voice Networking Licences - At least one licence at each site - each licence allows 4 outgoing calls to the other system (incoming call numbers are not licenced only limited by the number of outgoing from other sites you can send to it). I would recommend two licences at the 40 site and one at the 10 site. Set number of channels to 12 with 8 outgoing on the 40 site and 12 channels with 4 outgoing on the 10 site.

VM Pro (Preferred Edition) - One of these needed. Best practice is to have it on the 40 user site.

there is no sense in him buying 2 licenses for the main site if he's only going to buy 1 for the remote site. i thought the voice networking license was basically per concurrent call, not just outgoing?

I would just buy one for each site to start, you can always add later. it usually only takes a couple hours to get the license once ordered.

Nope each licence gives you 4 outgoing calls. So the licence setup I suggested allows 8 outgoing at the 40 user site and 4 outgoing at the 10 user site. Also allows 8 incoming at the 10 user site and 4 incoming at the 40 user site.

10 phones can be done over a VPN. No need for SCN lic's and a second IP500v2 to be honest.
