Hey Guys,

I have an SCN currently set up in a traditional hub and spoke topology. I am adding a new spoke to the SCN and am having a bear of a time getting the trunk to come up. Everything is configured exactly like the other locations, however the hub is 8.1 and the spoke is 9.0 in this instance. I have a site to site VPN configured, and can pull configs/ping across the connection. My problem is that the H323 trunks will not register. I have attached a screenshot of monitor showing both systems sending H323 traffic but neither receiving the traffic. As much as I want to say this is a network issue, I am not entirely sold due to this being the EXACT same setup as the other 6 locations. I am also having the same issue at another location, albeit a very, very different setup.

Can anyone offer any guidance here? Is there a max to the amount of SCN trunks that can be configured? Is there a known bug that I am simply missing? I am really struggling here.

See the attached screenshot, please.

Thanks all!

SCN simply needs both sites to b given the IP Address of the IPO on the other end of the link & a valid ip route between them

your possible causes of this problem are :-

1) IP link between the site is blocking some or all of the necessary data ports
2) the IP routes on the IP Office's have been incorrectly set
3) you have programed the wrong address into the SCN line.

Thanks for the feedback. All connectivity was fine. As of moments ago, we are up and running. I was able to run some tcpdumps on the routers and found that the new spoke was not properly replying to anything. I deleted the trunk, merged, then rebuilt the trunk. That fixed the issue.

Silly...

When all else fails, start over and repeat your steps. I find that I either find a mistake or nothing was changed but it magically starts working pretty often.
