Does anybody know what Crystal's threshold is for formatting numbers to scientific notation - seems to be somewhere around 17-18 digits to the left of the decimal. Also, can I "force" a number to format with scientific notation?

ANY information would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks

In Crystal 8.5, [File] [Options] [Fields] will let you set a default for your numbers. Be careful: this may fail when you run the same report on another machine.

There is also the ToText function, which can specify the format for a number, including decimal places. Long-winded but safe.
